Trade Show Booth
Here’s an interesting application of custom printed wallpaper- as decoration in a trade show booth.
Our customer wanted to create the image of being in a room, without having to drag all the furniture and decorations to the trade show. They created the images of furniture, decorations, picture frames, and wainscoting as artwork, and we printed it as wallpaper. The wallpaper was then applied to flats that were brought to the show.
As you can see, the result is very nice! It was easy to install, fun to look at, and brought a lot of customers into the booth.

Restaurant Wallpaper
Here’s a cool wallpaper job we did for a bagel restaurant. What a better way to show all the yummy things you make than to put pictures of them on the wall of your deli?
This is our standard suede finish wallpaper, solvent printed. The colors are accurate, and the printing crisp and sharp. It’s durable, too.
The bagels look good enough to eat, don’t you think?

- Corporate Lobby Wallpaper
Here’s some fun custom wallpaper we did for a customer in New York City for their lobby. They used a greyscale photo of the New York skyline, and superimposed it onto multicolor backgrounds. The stuff you can do today with Photoshop!
Each panel is 4×8 feet in size, making a total mural dimension of 8×12 feet. We shipped them three sections of wallpaper each fifty inches wide, with two inches of overlap so the edges can be cut to match perfectly.
This is a pretty typical lobby installation. The wallpaper took us a few days to make, and it took a day to be installed.

- Custom Printed Wallpaper
Here’s a custom printed wallpaper job we did for an elegant home in Boston. It’s an 18th century painting of Mount Vernon that was chosen to go with the decor of the home and to give it a feel of that period in time.
Our customer purchased a high resolution photo of the painting, and we scaled, cropped, and resampled it to fit the size and give sufficient resolution. A professional installer put up the wallpaper, which was 9.5 x 29.5 feet in size.
The results are stunning, don’t you agree?
What’s really cool here is the ability to put pictures of just about anything that means a lot to you on the wall of your home. Put up pictures of the kids, the family, the vacation house, or your favorite picture. We have found that we can get excellent results from 5 and 6 megapixel pictures taken up to 8×10 foot size.
I’m scouring my photos from the last few years to put on the wall in my house!

Installing Custom Printed Wallpaper
We installed some of our custom printed wallpaper the other day in our office. It was a great experience for the guys in the vinyl department to do an installation.
We used a picture I took last spring at Tuckerman Ravine on Mount Washington. People hike about 3.5 miles with their skis on their backs and ski down an extremely steep headwall. It’s great fun to ski it, and fun to watch everone else too.
I’ve wallpapered a lot of bathrooms and kitchens, and putting this paper up is not much different. The paper is not pre-pasted, so you need to brush on paste before you put it up. The other difference is that you overlap the paper by an inch, and then cut through both layers of the paper to give a clean, edge-to-edge joint.
The custom printed wallpaper went up pretty fast, in about an hour for two panels 4×8 feet.
The other great thing is that we have a terrific looking mural in our office, made from a photo that originally was
2112 x 2816 pixels. We resampled it up to 72 dpi in the final size, and of course cropped it to square. We dropped in some type to let people know it’s Tuckerman. This means that you can take a pretty standard digital picture and get great results from our process! I used an ordinary 6 megapixel Cannon Powershot camera.

- Custom Printed Wallpaper
Sometimes when people tell me they want to put a big picture on the wall, I ask them “How about making the wall a big picture?” One of the coolest ways to use our solvent banner printers is to make custom printed wallpaper.
In this photo, our customer used custom printed wallpaper to decorate a marketing room. The photos we printed on the wallpaper are historical pictures of the company. It makes a great presentation, and they tell us that customers going into the room find it interesting and fun.
Custom printed wallpaper allows you to put really big pictures up that are permanent and durable. We see them going into restaurants, corporate lobbies, even schools.
