We printed this vinyl banner about 10 years ago for the Common Man restaurants, I noticed it as part of their eclectic decoration in the bar recently.

Low Temp Banner
We made this outdoor banner to advertise an event that will be held in the middle of January. Which, in this part of the country, means it will need to survive low temperatures and plenty of wind.
If you put a cheap vinyl banner outdoors this time of year, you’ll have a mess if the temperature goes much below zero degrees Fahrenheit. That’s because regular vinyl has a “cold crack” temperature of – 5 degrees or so, below which it shatters like glass.
We print on a premium outdoor vinyl banner material that has a cold crack temperature of -20 degrees. That gives you a better chance in New Hampshire, and elsewhere, where it gets pretty cold during the winter!

Museum Display
Using a frame around a museum display is a good idea where the public can get their hands on it! In this case the Ponce Inlet Museum display of lighthouse technology near Daytona Beach.
The large fresnel lenses are fragile and touching them leaves fingerprints, so in this case the museum display also serves to keep the museum goers away from the exhibit.

We covered this window in our shop with our Window Perf vinyl. From the outside, it’s a cat. From the inside, you see outside clearly. This is done by perforating the vinyl with thousands of 1mm size holes. The Window Perf material is black on the adhesive side, and white on the print side.

We see Window Perf being used, for instance, on bus windows where they want to put graphics on the bus but let the passengers see out. It also has a following in retail stores where they don’t want the public to see the inside of the store. Often they want to hide the view of the checkout area, but let the checkout clerks see what’s happening outside the store.
Corn Hole Table Top
So we had our 25th anniversary party in September, and we played Corn Hole on the lawn, using custom Corn Hole graphics we had created for the event. We bought a standard pair of Corn Hole tables and applied adhesive vinyl over the top. It worked great!

Museum Banner
You’ll often see a vinyl banner like this in front of a museum to announce the special exhibit they are hosting. Our matte finish vinyl gives you bright happy colors that demand attention and attract visitors!
When you get vinyl banners this large, it’s important to keep them tight to the building so that the wind can’t get behind them. Our matte vinyl banners are also made from a material that’s good to -20 degrees, which can be important at this time of year! Most vinyls are only good to about 0 degrees F.

Colored Core Sign
I saw this museum sign on a recent trip to Florida. It’s cut from a material called “ColorCore” which in this case is a piece of 1/2″ plastic with a white core and green faces. Instead of printing on the plastic, we use our digital die cutter to engrave through the colored layer to the white layer below. This gives something that’s really durable and UV stable.
Our digital die cutter gets a lot of use. Simple things like cutting circles in Sintra are easily done with it. As are special shapes and cut-out letters. Sometimes we use the digital die cutter just for shapes, and sometimes we print on the Sintra and then cut out the shapes. It all depends on what the customer wants!

Museum Wallpaper
OK, last post from my trip to the Czech Republic, I promise! This is a museum wallpaper display from the Museum of Communism in Prague.
They used museum wallpaper displays for a lot of the museum. If you think about it, it’s a great way to do photos and text together on a wall. Digital printing of wallpaper makes it affordable as well as easy to install.
Sure, they had old uniforms and stuff from the uranium mine, but most of what they had was photographs. That lent itself to museum wallpaper displays that showed the photographs with an explanation. Indeed, much of the story of communism there was that of people who made it happen and those who opposed it and eventually dismantled it.
