The New View

Our shop is near Squam Lake, where they filmed the movie “On Golden Pond”. This flatbed print was done for a customer’s summer home on the lake.

They have a window that looks out on a garage, and thought it would be cool if the view could be as though the garage weren’t there. So, they took a digital picture of the view from the other side of the garage, and we did a flatbed print on 3mm Sintra PVC board. Voila! View of the lake.

More and more of what we do is flatbed printing. The prints are durable, UV stable, and color accurate. Let us make one for you!

Outdoor Large Format Printing

Outdoor Full Color Prints

I came across these outdoor prints in Acadia National Park earlier this week. They were printed on 1 mm sintra and put into frames. They look great!

We are doing more and more of this kind of work, usually printing on Sintra or Diebond with our UV curable machines. Our preference is to add a protective clear coat on top of an outdoor print, which extends the life substantially.

You’ll see this kind of outdoor printing everywhere you go these days. As more people discover how easy and affordable they can be, you’ll see even more. We can even make them from your PowerPoint file. How easy is that!

Wall Mural Athletics

Athletic Center Wall Mural

There’s no mistaking where you are on this campus- the new College of Mt. St. Vincent athletic center! They have put up a dozen photo murals featuring the school’s athletes.

We always say that a photo mural does a good job of creating the feeling you want in a space, and these photos really turn the trick!

Whether you are doing a restaurant, company lobby or conference room, or your man cave, a wall mural adds distinction, mood, and fun!

Wallpaper Dimensions

Oops!

OK you out there…

Height of your wall mural is up and down.

Width of your wall mural is side to side.

Otherwise, this would have fit just fine!

Careful measurement of the space in which you plan to put your wall mural is critical to having a job that is right.

Die Cut Door Signs

Computer Cut Signs

Here are door signs we did recently for Clarks Trading Post in Lincoln, NH. I thought it was a great idea to put branding where the windows would have gone on the doors. It makes it a bit of a mystery what’s beyond the doors, and tells you all the exciting things you have to look forward to.

We printed these door sign inserts with our UV cured inks, so they are tough and fade resistant. We then cut them to shape with our CNC cutter so they fit the non-rectangular shape. We used Sintra® brand foamed plastic board that, aside from being tough stuff, gives us brilliant colors.

Give us a call if you want to have attractive but rugged door signs printed!

Fabric Banners to Separate Spaces

Fabric Banners

Here’s an interesting use of fabric banners– as a way to separate one area of a museum from another without closing it completely off.  The fabric does a nice job of that.

We made the fabric banners with pole pockets top and bottom, the customer put a good sturdy pole in the top for hanging, and a lighter wooden pole in the bottom to keep it straight.

We like using fabric banners wherever you need a softer look than you get with vinyl.

Die Cut Plastic Shapes

Sintra® Cut Shapes

Here’s a computer cut shape job we did recently for a company in Florida. The pieces were small, about a foot square, but our cutting table did a really nice job on them!

When doing cut shapes of this nature, you just need to follow a few rules:

  1. It’s best that the pieces be solid, and if not, then things need to be thick enough that they don’t break easily.
  2. Thin lines around the edges are a no-no, since the cutting machine is not perfectly accurate.

Other than that, we can make you plastic cutouts that will impress!

Historical Photo Wallpaper

Historical Wallpaper

Here’s something we do quite a bit of- turning an historical photo into a wall mural. I think they look great, and they sure do generate a lot of interest. Everybody loves them!

We’ve done historical wall murals for companies, town halls, and museums. We’ve done them as large as 30×60 feet! This one is 89″ tall and 139″ wide, we did it for Lower Forge Brewery in Medford NJ.

They come to you as 4 foot wide strips with an inch of overlap. The installer cuts down through both layers in the overlap, and when the excess is removed, you’ve got an historical photo wall mural with invisible seams. Don’t see them on this photo? That’s how it’s supposed to be, and they are there.

Church Wallpaper Mural Collage

Church wall mural

Mission Wallpaper Mural

This wall mural was done for the Faith Christian Family Church in New Mexico. I think it’s a great way for them to tell the story of what they are all about.

Generally, you can make a collage like this with the digital photos your phone takes. If you have Photoshop, lay it out to size at 100 dpi. If not, give us a call and we’ll work out the best way to design your wall mural. We can do the design if you like.

The mural comes to you in four foot wide strips that overlap by an inch. The installer does what’s known as a “double cut”, cutting down through both layers in the overlap. When the excess is removed , you have a butt joint that matches perfectly, since you cut both layers at the same time. Even if you didn’t cut a perfectly straight line!

Meeting Signs

Foamcore Signs

Meeting Signs Ready to Ship

We print lots of signs on foamcore for meetings. Here’s a bunch of them on the way to a customer.

These meeting signs are typically displayed on an easel next to a meeting room, or in the sign-in area. We can also put an easel stand on the back so you can put them on a table.

Nowadays, we print directly on the foam core board. It makes it a single step process, and is quite a bit less expensive than printing on paper and then sticking that onto foamcore. We don’t think it sacrifices quality of your meeting signs a bit!
