Pull Up Banners

Pull Up Banner

I always wonder what the right name is for a banner stand. You see people call them all kinds of things: roll up banners, pull up banners, blind banners, and so on. A rose by any other name, etc etc.

We did this banner stand for the Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum, and I thought it turned out quite nicely. I remember when they called they didn’t know what to call it either!

We used our standard banner stand, which is 35.5″ wide and 83″ tall, nearly seven feet. If you need a banners stand, or whatever you want to call it, call us!

Outdoor Art Exhibit

Outdoor Photo Exhibit

These displays are an outdoor photo exhibit we printed for a show at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods NH. The prints are done on 1/4″ Sintra board, and mounted to frames made for the occasion. They are stunning!

The photo exhibit was shown last weekend, just as the foliage was hitting it’s peak of color. The hotel was a happenin’ place, and the exhibit drew a lot of attention.

Interior Design Wallpaper

wall mural for an apartment

Apartment Wallpaper

When you need to give a space a particular look and feeling, try using a wall mural! That’s what interior designer Ben Sander did for this apartment in New York.

The black and white photo accents the primarily black and white color scheme of the space, and it adds a bit of fun!

Corporate Lobby Wallpaper

Lobby Wall Mural

This lobby wall mural is a great example of the kind of thing we can do. Talk about setting the mood in a room! It’s for a company that makes railroad equipment, and it’s a picture of one of their machines. No mistaking what they are all about while you are waiting in this lobby!

They actually did four walls in the corporate offices, with Mary Walgren doing the design. We printed on suede wallpaper.

I love this photo because it shows how good design brings the colors together in harmony. Nice space!

Wall Mural in a Corporate Lobby

Wall Mural

This wall mural was done with our wallboard vinyl for photographer David Schmidt of Vermont. It’s 7 x 16 feet in size, and sure makes a dramatic presentation!

David had been waiting to print this image in large size for some time, and was very pleased with how it all worked out, as was his client.

Cartoon Character Cutouts

Cutout of a cartoon character

Character Cutout

We do lots of cutouts of people, and often other things too. From a cartoon character like this one done for Sqord.com, to things like machines, historical figures, politicians, and even cars, if we can print it we can make a cutout of something up to 4×6′ in size.

Cutouts can be a lot of fun! We’ve done them for all kinds of events and promotions. So, don’t just think about using them for cutouts of people.

We need a good dense digital file to get you a good quality cutout, whether it’s a person or something else. 72 to 100 dpi in the print size is ideal, although we can often rez up your file and get good results. You can always call us to talk about what you have for a file and whether it will give good results.

Trail Head Kiosk Signs

signs for kiosk

Trail Head Sign

We did several of these trail head kiosk signs for the Town of New Hampton NH. They welcome people to their new nature trail, show a map of the trail, and ask people to respect the area.

These trail head signs were printed on 1/4″ sintra, coated with a protective clear coat, and installed with flat head tamper resistant screws.

We’ve done a fair number of these trail head kiosk signs around New Hampshire. After all, there are a lot of hiking trails to be found! Our customers find this to be an inexpensive way of creating a great looking kiosk sign. Very often, as happened in this case, they were able to design the sign themselves in PowerPoint, which saved them a fair amount of money.

Installing a Wall Mural

installation of custom wall mural

Wallpaper Installation

Here’s a photo of a wall mural being installed. In this case, at Asheville House, a furniture maker in North Carolina. They were putting the wall mural in their conference room, it’s a photo of the beautiful mountains in their area.

They are doing a couple of things right. First of all, they lay everything out before beginning the installation, just as we do before we ship it. That makes sure that, first of all, they have everything and secondly that they are installing the panels in the right order. We give you a diagram of how it should go, but still, it’s best to verify before you get into it.

Secondly, they cleared the decks to give themselves some space to install the wall mural. You don’t want to be working around desks and chairs! Lastly, they have a table for applying paste and a step ladder to get to the ceiling easily. Done!

Instagram Picture Frame

Instagram Frame

Evidently this is all the rage. People hold up a large format picture frame and have their picture taken, and then post it on Instagram.

We can print them, and we’ve done several in the last few months. Typically they are made from display board, which is tough enough to survive the thin edges.

Usually I hate it when things are this easy to break, and things this thin can be a problem. We package them more heavily to be sure you receive them in good shape, and you need to be careful how you handle them.

Shop Floor Posters and Signs

Posters for Factories

Factory Instructions

Communicating how things are to be done in a manufacturing location is often done best with a poster. This poster was done for  a company that wanted to tell people their rules for stacking boxes.

They didn’t think people would remember what they read in a manual, but having the instructions as a poster right on the wall in the shipping department made them hard to ignore. The repetition of seeing the poster all the time gets the message to sink in, too.

We use them a lot in our shop- everything from “Safety Glasses Required” to “Keep This Door Closed”.  We keep our job schedule on a gloss laminated poster, and put the information in with a dry erase marker. We use wallboard vinyl to put messages on machines and on walls. We put gator board signs on tables to tell people what material goes on them. Critically, since we do a lot of cutting on glass, we put a poster saying “Don’t Sit on Me” under the glass!
