Temporary Point of Purchase Signs

POP on adhesive vinyl

Sticky Note Sign

Here’s an interesting contrast between what can be done with our wallboard vinyl compared to your common laser print. Our customer wanted temporary signs for the bank. Our wallboard vinyl fits the bill since it has “sticky note” adhesive on the back, it goes up easily and comes down just as easy. In the meantime, it stays flat and looks great!

Contrast that with the paper temporary signs they used previously! So much more professional.

The bank uses it for promotions and new product announcements that customers read while their business at the bank is being transacted. Temporary signs like this are  inexpensive, so they won’t bust your promotional budget. They create a better impression, too!

Printed Ceiling Tiles

Cloud Ceiling Tiles

You would think we would have done this one already, but it was a first for us. Our customer wanted to have clouds printed on the ceiling tiles in his retail store, so we found a good clouds image and printed ’em up!

In this case, we actually printed on 1mm sintra instead of ceiling tiles. Ceiling tiles themselves are pretty fragile, and we thought these would make the trip better. The customer also didn’t want the speckle patter that is in a ceiling tile to disrupt the cloud image.

Our customer gave us a diagram of the ceiling so that we could give him the cloud pattern all the way to the wall, all the way around the room. Usually there are less than full tiles around the perimeter of a drop ceiling, so we cut the sintra to fit the smaller size pieces.

Large Format Windows

Window Scene

In this display that our customer did for the NH Home Show, we printed a large format photo enlargement to go behind a window. It sure makes it look like there’s a lake with a sailboat out there!

This is a great way to create an illusion in your restaurant, store, or home. All we need is a digital photo, or even an old photo will do- we can scan it here. We’ll enlarge your photo digitally and print it whatever size you need.

Digital enlargement of photos is the way to go. Nobody uses tubs of chemicals any more!

Cutouts that are not people

cardboard cutouts of figures

Character Cutouts

We do a lot of cutouts of people, but from time to time we do cutouts of other things, like this company’s mascots.

Whatever the cutout, we print directly onto gatorboard and then do the cutting. If we are doing a lot of them we’ll use our CNC router, if just one we usually do the cutout by hand with a roto-zip. Either way, you get something that’s fun and dramatic.

We’ve even done things like cutouts of cars, cartoon characters, and products. When you need a cutout of something unusual, give us a call!

Cut Out Plastic Shapes

cut out plastic shapes

Sintra Cutout

This was a new one on me, but we were happy to help! Our customer needed a logo cut from plastic to use when they poured a rubber floor in an athletic facility. The rubber would be poured around the shapes we provided, and when the shapes removed, leave a cavity in the rubber floor. Which, I suppose, will then be filled with rubber of a different color to leave a level floor with the logo in it.

We started with a pdf file of the logo, from which we generated a cutting path for our CNC router. The shapes were cut from 1/2″ sintra.

The other cool part of this job was that it was done in a hurry. They called late in the day yesterday, we are shipping the job today. Rush job is us!

Table Centerpiece for an Event

Event Centerpiece

Here’s a really nice table centerpiece we did recently for a customer’s event. It’s about a foot high, and each of the three sides is six inches wide. We shipped it flat to the customer, scored for folding and with a piece of double sided tape on the flap for easy assembly. The look is superb!

We are a large format specialty printing company, and this is really not that big a piece. However, it really needed to be printed on a heavy card stock, and our flatbed printing technology was perfect. We printed directly to a bright white 50 point stock and were very pleased with the results.

We printed 75 of them at a cost of about $8 each. If you are doing a fancy event and need a table centerpiece, here’s an elegant and easy way to do it!

Sandwich Signs

Sandwich Sign

Sandwich signs are great for putting on the sidewalk in front of your business. They drive traffic into the store, that’s for sure.

We like the plastic Signicade type of sandwich sign like the one shown. You can put a coroplast or sintra sign on one or both sides, and they are easy to replace if you want to change your marketing message.

You can write on either material with a wet erase marker, so if your sandwich sign is advertising a daily special that’s easy to do. These sandwich signs also can be filled with sand to add weight, making them less likely to blow away in a wind storm.

Single sided sandwich signs like this are about $120, and figure $160 for double sided.

Museum Wallpaper

custom wall mural museum

Museum Wallpaper

This wallpaper mural is a black and white photo from the Korean War. It’s 12 feet tall and 34 feet wide. Grayscale wallpaper murals are particularly tough to get right, and we like to think that we are the experts in doing this well. As you can see, the panels match perfectly and the gray is perfect from one wallpaper panel to the next.

We came across an interesting website recently, these guys will make you cut lettering to put on a wall. For instance, if this museum wanted to put some writing on this  photo after the fact, WiseDecor could create a wall decal from adhesive backed vinyl to be applied over the top of the wallpaper mural.

Fabric Banner for a Retail Store

Banners from cloth or fabric

Fabric Banner

We just printed 8 beautiful fabric banners with our new HP latex printer. They look great! Vibrant colors and a nice soft look.

What’s neat about the latex printer is that we can do printing directly on fabric, which is less expensive than dye sublimation and looks just as good. We can also turn around short runs of fabric banners in a few days, allowing you to get things in the stores quickly.

Usually we put pole pockets in the top and bottom of fabric banners. You put a pole through the top for hanging, and then a smaller one in the bottom pocket to give it just enough weight to hang straight.

Computer Cut Shapes with a Difference

CNC cut plastic shape

Cut Shape

Usually when we computer cut a  shape, it’s a cartoon character, the outline of a product, or cut letters. This job was different, and I thought it would be interesting to share.

Our customer wanted a sign that would fit onto a literature rack with slots. It works sort of like the dividers in a case of wine. We printed their artwork, and the computer cutting machine put the slots in it.

There’s lots of capability in our CNC cutting machine, and this is just one of the interesting jobs we’ve done recently.
