We’ve been busily printing the dasher board signs for the new Plymouth State hockey rink. At right is a photo taken at the dedication ceremony of the new facility, and a beautiful rink it is!
The dasher boards are printed on a polyproplyene film using our UV flatbed printer. Even though the artwork sits behind a lexan shield, it still has the possiblilty of getting wet, so we use the inks that will be OK even if they do get wet.
The other great advantage of using the UV machine is that the inks are dry the moment they come off the printer, and can be installed right away. As with a lot of things that happen in a new facility, everything came together late in the game and had to be done quickly. We were able to print the dasher boards for installation the same day.
