Typically we print the big check on paper and mount to foamcore. We can also put a gloss laminate on it so that you can write on and wipe off with a dry-erase marker.
We can put your organization’s logo on the large check, put a photo in the background, almost anything! Best of all, get us the information and we’lll  ship it quick, usually the day after you approve a proof.

Locating fixtures on your wallpaper

Wallpaper in an athletic facility
Where is the water fountain going to be, anyway?

This was a new one on us, but it made sense! And, we all had a pretty good chuckle about it.

Our customer was printing the wallpaper image at the right for their athletic building at a college. They had a drinking fountain on the wall where the wallpaper would go, and they were asking us for a full size proof. We went round and round about this until I realized that what they were really worried about was the fountain being in the soccer player’s crotch! Boy, would that have been lousy!
We asked them to give us measurement from each side of the wall to the drinking fountain, and then located where it would be on the image.  Thankfully, it was going to be where the black square is on the picture, which worked out just fine.
This is the kind of thing that makes us special- helping a customer be sure things are right, making sure your needs are met. They are going to have a great installation, and we went the extra mile to be sure it was so.

Hospital Check Lists on Repositionable Fabric

Surgical check list
Repositionable Fabric for Surgeons Check List

Here’s a unique application for our Repositionable Fabric– an operating room checklist that’s easy to install, and a breeze to change out if needed. We just printed 15 for a hosptial in New York, and when they got them they asked for 10 more.  Evidently they like them!

Hospitals all over are generating checklists for surgeons the way the airlines have always done for their pilots. It makes sense, because busy people in a hurry can forget something important. The checklists help, and they save lives.
Heck, we have one in the shop for starting the flatbed printer every morning. You gotta remember to turn on the compressed air!

Museum Banners

Museum Banners
Banner for a Museum

When your museum is putting on an exhibit, you want to tell everyone about it. These days, you see a lot of banners at the front of a museum telling everyone about the show. Here’s a banner we did for a museum in Seattle.

We also do a lot of museum display work. These are usually paper prints mounted to gatorboard and laminated with our matte laminate. They look great, and they last.
Lately we also done a number of pieces on repositionable fabric for museums, since it is so easy to put up and take down.
Whatever your needs for museum displays, give us a call and we’ll get you something that does a great job for you!

Banner Stands for your Sales Reps

Banner Stands for your sales force
Economy Banner Stands

Our Economy Banner Stand is the perfect thing to give each of your sales reps for doing local trade shows, trunk shows, and events. They retract into a cannister that is about the size of a baseball bat. When the time comes to show them, three poles come out of the case and stack into a hole in the back of the unit. The banner has an aluminum rail on the top that hangs off the pole. Done!

We see banner stands like this being used all over- in stores, airports, town halls, at concerts, even police stations.
One of the best things about them is that they do not need any fixturing, and you can move them around if you need to. It’s a lot harder to do that with a poster or banner.

Vinyl Banners for Trade Show Graphics

vinyl banners trade show display
Trade Show Graphics using vinyl banners

Our customer had a large box that needed graphics on four sides. He was thinking of foamcore mounted pieces, but worried about shipping damage to flat pieces that large, and we agreed.

We solved his problem by making vinyl banners that can be shipped rolled up, and then installed in the frame on site. We think they look pretty good! The trade show graphics were nice and crisp, and the entire booth presented his product very effectively and professionally.
I should also add, affordably! Not only was this a less expensive way of producing the graphics, but the shipping cost and risk of damage were much lower.

Golf tee and green sponsor signs

Affordable Golf Sponsor Signs
Golf Sponsor Signs

Golf tournament season is in high gear, and we are making signs for a lot of golf tournaments!

These affordable golf tournament signs are easy to use and very attractive. They are made on coroplast- plastic cardboard- and we tape a U-shaped piece of wire to the back. Jab them into the ground and you’re done! The signs are waterproof and do not fade in the sun, so you can use them year after year, printing only the new sponsors in subsequent years.
All you need to do is give us your list of customers, and we’ll do the rest. We can insert your logo into the sponsor sign if you like.
Best of all, we can have them done for you in a day or two! Our fast turnaround of golf sponsor signs is one reason people come to us.

Road Race Signs and Banners

signs for a road race
Road Race Signs

Whether you are looking for a starting line banner, a finish line banner, or signs that go along the way- we can help!

At the right we have a sign that is printed on coroplast, which is often called plastic cardboard. A metal H stake slides into the flutes of the material, and jabs into the ground to hold the sign.
These are great for telling racers which way to go at corners, to advise of upcoming water stations, and to mark the distance travelled.
We also do a lot of banners that go across the street at road races, both at the start and finish. Here’s a picture of a banner we made for a race last summer.

Across the Stret Banners present special challenges. Usually you need to get permission from the town to put them up, and they have a steel cable across the street in a specific place. Often the local utility does the installation, and they may charge for doing that.

The banner hangs on the cable with D rings, which are like a carabiner. The bottom of the banner is held taught with rope, and we like to see a bungee cord on the bottom so the banner can move out of the way of the wind.
We use a special material for across the street banners that is heavy and strong. We re-enforce the corners too. These banners are usually large, and they need to be very tough.
They are also good to -20 degrees, so you can use them in winter just about everywhere.

Installing a banner

Installing a vinyl banner
Banner with bungee cord

Many times the method of displaying a banner can be a larger issue than getting it printed. That’s why you’ll often hear from us “How are you going to hang this up?” Depending on your answer, we might want to make your banner differently.

Here’s an example of a banner with hem and grommet being strung between two poles. There’s a length of chain at the top, and the banner is attached with tie-wraps to it.
Below, there’s a bungee cord that will keep the banner taut, but allow it to move in the wind so as to shed the wind load. We find this is the best way to put up a banner.
Of course, your situation may vary. You are always welcome to call us and we’ll help you figure out how to install the banner, and how to configure the banner to make it easy for you.

Life Size Stand Ups

Cutouts of people
Life Size Stand Ups

I never really know what to call these, but we sure print a lot of them! We take a picture, blow it up to big size, print on gator board, and cut it out. We call them People Cutouts or Life Size Stand Ups. Or maybe People Standups or Life Size Cutouts. It gets to be a bear to find them on the internet, but people do!

We put an easel stand on the back so they stand up. And they ship folded in half so the Fedex is affordable. As you can see at the right, the seam that creates is just about invisible.
There are also some tricks to doing them.  As you can see, we need something level on the bottom so they are stable. We also need to fit into a 3×6′ envelope, so they can’t be holding a hockey stick!
If you want to buy a cardboard figure of Elvis, you can probably get one at a novely store for $20. That’s because they made 10,000 of them. A single cutout goes for $199 plus the shipping to you.
