A trick for hanging foamcore and gatorboard prints

One of the first things you’ll hear from us when you call is “How do you plan to use this?” That’s because it is often the case that hanging your poster is a tougher operation than getting it printed.

This is a picture of a foamcore clip, and it’s one of our little tricks for hanging a poster. It’s a metal plate with points that jab into the back of a foamcore or gatorboard poster. It has a hold in the top that can be hung on a nail or a picture hanger, or you can put piture hanger wire between two of them.
Either way, it’s a slick way of putting a mounted poster on the wall with a hidden hanging system. When we laminate your poster and put it on gatorboard, you’ve got a display that will last and look great!

New Matte Laminate

We’ve recently changed our matte laminate to what we believe to be a much superior product.

 
Our old matte laminate did a decent job of reducing glare, this material completely eliminates it!  On top of that, the old material reduced the contrast in photos, and the new material lets your colors come through brilliantly!
 
In the past, we always thought you had to make a choice between glare and color brilliance, but now you don’t.  That’s my definition of a truly innovative product, and we are proud to offer it.
 
Best of all, the new matte laminate costs the same as the old matte laminate!

Museum Prints on Wallboard Vinyl

We printed this job for the NH Historical Society on our wallboard vinyl. It’s a vinyl with a special “sticky note” adhesive on the back that does a great job of sticking to painted wallboard. Normal adhesive backed vinyl will not stick to wallboard very well, but we have identified this material that does a great job.

 
It’s a great choice for things like museum displays, where the exibits will be up for a few months and then replaced with a new one. This material is easily installed with their normal staff, no special installation crew required!
 
Best of all, the results are fantastic!

Wild Bathroom Wallpaper

Here’s one of the most fun wallpaper jobs we’ve done in a while!

 
The customer wanted to have a distinctive bathroom, and do they ever- it looks like you are in a New York subway station. A mirror on the sink side wall adds to the effect, making the room seem much larger. It was a nice enough piece of wallpaper when it came off the machine, but when we saw a photo of the installation- Wow!
 
You don’t have to look through books of wallpaper any more. Instead, browse online photo sites for an image that knocks you out, and we’ll turn it into wallpaper for you. Dreamstime  is an excellent site with over 10 million keyword searchable photos of just about anything you could imagine. We can download the photo and add the charges to your bill, just let us know the photo number you want. Usually they cost around $20.

A Different Kind of Trade Show Booth

Our customer wanted to make a trade show booth out of panels of foamcore board. We wondered how that would work, but OK, it’s what she instisted upon!

 
We printed the sheets on our UV Curable Flatbed printer, and we have to say, they turned out great!  To the right is a picture they took of the booth.
 
We worried about shipping full 4×8 panels to the show, so we put them between full sheets of packing material and then in a box, added corner re-enforcements, and then put the whole thing on a big pallet. It got to New York just fine. Although I must tell you, it was very expensive to have it delivered to the trade show hall.
 
Foamcore is not normally something we use for trade shows, simply because it doesn’t last very well. In this case, our customer told us she expected to use the material for just this one show, and we said OK. It sounds like they had a great show!

Banners for a Trade Show

Here’s a creative use of banners discovered by one of our customers. The people at the show wouldn’t let him hang a banner from the ceiling, so he bought a pair of large banner holders and put them in his booth. We made banners 3 feet wide and 12 feet tall to go on the stands.

 
They really made his booth stand out, don’t you think! His is the only booth you can find without a map in the entire show.
 
I am always impressed by the creativity of our customers, and this is a great example of that.  I won’t kid you, we thought it was a strange request when we first heard it, but now that I see what they were doing, it’s brilliant!

Here’s a really neat piece of work we did recently for our good customer Northway Bank. They knew that their customers in Meredith love the town, so they put a beautiful fall foliage picture of the town on the wall in their new branch office there. It really lets you know you are in the town!

 
Our custom printed vinyl wallpaper is attractive, durable, and it lets you turn your wall into something much more striking than plain old paint.

Banner Stand as (almost) Art

The New Hampshire Music Fesival brings classical music and pops concerts to our area every summer, and we just made this lovely banner stand for them.

 
The background is a scan of an oil painting that they are using on all of their material this season. At banner size, it’s quite striking!  One of the Festival members said “It’s not a banner, it’s a work of art!”
 
We are pleased to support the NHMF, and are excited to attend the performances this summer. Our work usually adorns the lobby with posters of the evening’s soloists and program.
 
Our banner stands are made with an 11 mil polyester film that reproduces colors brilliantly and accurately and will not curl at the edges.

Banner for A Church

Here’s a banner we did for a local church announcing their schedule of services for Holy Week.  They had a beautiful pen and ink sketch by a local artist that we scanned and incorporated into the artwork.

 
Vinyl banners are a great way to announce any event to passers-by, and people tell us that when they put up a banner, they have better attendence.  After all, how can they come to your event if they don’t know it’s happening!
 
We can print the art you create, or do the layout for you. Either way, you get a great looking banner at a fair price.

Vinyl banners as Posters

Our customer needed posters that could be hung outdoors for their promotion in New York City. We suggested they go with vinyl, since it’s really not much more expensive than printing on paper, and so much more durable.

 
So, that’s what we did!
 
The inks we use on vinyl are good for 3-5 years in sunlight, and of course they are waterproof.  And vinyl is so much tougher than paper that we believe this is a great way to do digital printing of things that need to go outdoors.
