When the time comes to replace the graphic panels on your pop-up booth, there is money to be saved.  We can typically do the replacement panels for as much as 40% less than the name brand manufacturer of the booth.

Is there a compromise you must make for that savings? We don’t think so. You get great looking graphics, headers and kickers and edge magnet just like your original panels. We’ll even put the booth together here to be sure everything fits perfectly, and then ship it on to your show.

We use our crystal laminate with a 10 mil backer to give you a nice looking panel that breaks glare and has the weight to hang smoothly. The edges are machine cut to be straight and square.

One actual advantage of our panels is that we use a heat applied laminate that cannot de-laminate or tunnel.  Many manufacturers use cold applied adhesive, and if you roll the panels too tightly, the adhesive will release, ruining the graphics. It is just awful to pull your panels out of the case the night before the show starts, only to find that the graphics have delaminated!  That never happens with our panels.

Here’s something we do on a regular basis that you might not think of as large format printing – a table tent produced in low quantities. In this case, our customer needed 25 table tents, a quantity that’s not economical for offset printing.

We printed them on paper, laminated with gloss plastic, trimmed, and scored them to fold in the right place. We shipped them to the customer laid flat, with a piece of double sided tape on the bottom.
When received, the customer removed the release tape from the second side of the tape, pressed the tab to the tape, and presto-  table tent.  They are sturdy and very attactive. Best of all, we received their file on a Thursday and shipped the table tents on a Friday.

Here’s a unique vinyl banner we did recently for our good customer Kenyon Appliances.

They needed a trade show backdrop to fit into an existing aluminum structure, and it needed to be printed on both sides. In addition, everything slides into a slot on the frame the way a sail goes into a mast.

We printed the center and side pieces of the banner, and then sewed a 1/4″ rope into the hem on the top and bottom.  It was a bit of a trick to get everything printed on both sides and hemmed with the rope and in the right size, but we did it! As you can see  from the picture, everything worked out very nicely.

This kind of project presents it’s challenges, and we are very lucky to have a talented group in the vinyl department! They can think through how to make something that strays from the ordinary, and give you great results!

New Product- Repositionable Fabric

People often have a problem putting up posters where they can’t put tacks in the wall, and don’t have the time or money for fixtures.  Here’s a great solution- repositionable fabric.  It has a “sticky note” adhesive on the back, and it sticks very well to most wall surfaces like painted drywall, wallpaper, wood, and formica.  About the only thing we haven’t been able to get it to stick to is a brick wall, which is just too uneven.

You can re-apply it many times. In our tests, we’ve taken a poster down and stuck it back up over 25 times. 

Wherever you have a need to have a temporary poster, and just want to stick it up, this is a great solution!

It also will serve very nicely as temporary wallpaper. People tell us they have had it up for about two years very successfully in a corporate lobby. Do know that the material is not waterproof, so it’s really for indoor applications only.

Posters of Web Pages

Here’s something everybody can appreciate- a screen capture of your web page printed in poster size and displayed in your office.  It lets everybody know you are a web savvy outfit!

It’s best to use a screen capture program to get the whole page in one shot, and a program that will do this is SnapIt Screen Capture. It will save you a jpg that you can send us, or you can give us a link to the page you want, and we’ll capture and print it.  They have a free trial version, and it’s $18 to buy.
Web designers, this is a great way to showcase your work around your office!  Marketing people, it’s a great way to present your site in the company conference room.

What we are doing to be green

We are hearing more and more about green products, and we all want to do a better job of being green. Here’s what we are doing:

1. The paper we use has just been certified  that it is produced from well managed forests and other controlled sources.

2. Our acqueous inks are soy based, and come to us in a sealed container. When empty, we send the container back to be refilled. So, our ink comes from bio-friendly sources and emits no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s).

3. We bale our scrap paper and take it to a recycling facility. You can recycle it too!

4. We did a big project last fall to improve our energy efficiency, and thereby lower our carbon footprint. We put plastic inserts into our windows, motion detectors on lights, and boxed in an old freight door. Our power and heat usage are lower as a result.

5. We are working on a board mounted product that can be recycled with your cardboard. Stay tuned!

Open House at Resource Management Inc.

Resource Management Inc. moved into new headquarters a few months back, and had their open house on Friday. We made four display panels to explain their business to the local officials who came to the event.

They have a really cool business, very green! They take wood ash from power plants and sludge from sewage treatment facilities, and take it to farms and athletic fields where it is applied instead of fertilizer to enrich the soil. We are proud to have them as a customer, and wish them well in the new building.

If you have a pop-up booth for your trade shows, the time will come to replace the panels. After a few years, they get banged up, or your logo changes, or you want to show a new product. If you ask the booth supplier the cost of new panels, be ready for a shock.

We can produce replacement panels for less.  We use our crystal laminate, put the headers and kickers on it, and put magnet down the sides.
We’re also fast- the whole process takes a day or two. We also like to have you ship the booth to us so that we can install the panels and be sure everything fits perfectly.

Vinyl Banner in a retail store

Here’s a really good use of a vinyl banner in a warehouse-style retail store.  Our customer wanted to let his customers know that they could also do installation, so they ordered a banner that would be hard to miss, and hung it right over the doors.

Vinyl banners like this are a lot less expensive than having signs made, they can be installed in a jiffy, and they look great!

Pemi Youth Center Road Race Banner

Here’s a banner we donated for the Pemi Youth Center road race, a half-marathon to be held this summer in conjunction with the Plymouth Community Fun Fair.  For now, they are using it to generate the publicity for the race, and it will be strung across the start/finish line when the race is held on July 17.  If  you want to run the race, you can contact the Youth Center.

This is a standard gloss vinyl banner with grommets around. It was designed by one of our graphics designers, and output on our HP 9000 eco-solvent printer.  Production time was about a week from the beginning of graphic design to the customer having it in their hands.
