Kiosk Panels

Kiosk Graphics

This attractive kiosk was created by using vinyl banners beneath non-glare plexiglass. We printed on a glossy vinyl, which normally would give you glare trouble, but in this case the non-glare plexi took care of that.

There are two advantages of doing this with vinyl. First of all, it’s cost effective compared to direct printing on large sheets. Secondly, it’s a lot easier to ship! You can roll the vinyl banners up and ship them ground for a few dollars.

The presentation is fabulous, the price is right, and they can be done in a few days. What’s not to like?

Custom Wallpaper in a Bakery

custom wallpaper for branding

Bakery Wallpaper

I spent the weekend in Quebec going to their Winter Carnival. It was fun, and cold of course. We stopped in this charming bakery, and nobody makes better bread than the French! I was surprised to find a terrific custom wall mural there.

Sadly, not of our making. Still, it shows a brilliant example of turning a big blank wall into branding for the store. In this case, they had pictures of happy people chowing their goods. It adds a lot of life to the space!

They could have filled the wall with framed pictures or nailed up a bunch of antiques. But I’ll bet this two wall mural set them back about $2000 including installation, went up in a day, and is different than what people are used to. Which is the point.

Cheaper, faster, better. There’s a lot to like!

Collage Wallpaper

Wallpaper Collage

This job was really fun. Our customer had about 20 family photos that he wanted to turn into a photo collage to decorate the walls of an exercise room.

We scanned the older physical photos, and arranged them in Photoshop along with a number of newer digital photos he had. Once we had everything sized to the walls, we output the custom wallpaper in roughly 42″ wide strips for application, which took an installer about 4 hours.

When it was all done, what a transformation of four white walls!

Ski Trail Maps

Ski Trail Map

Whether you enjoy downhill or cross country skiing, a trail map is essential to knowing where you are. We print a lot of them for both kinds of skiing, located as we are in the heart of NH ski country!

This particular map is located in the Waterville Valley Nordic Center, and we also made a number of them that are located on the trails themselves to help skiers figure out where they are as they are skiing.

It’s one thing to have a map of the trail, and quite another to locate yourself once you are deep in the woods! These trails have numbers at each intersection, and the numbers are also shown on the map. Boy, is that appreciated when you are not really sure which way is up!

Fabric Trade Show Banners

Fabric Trade Show Booth Panels

Fabric Panels

Here’s an interesting way to use fabric banners to expand your trade show booth. Our customer, 1st Line Medical, wanted to use a 10×20 booth space and use their existing 10 foot booth.

We made four 4×8 foot banners with pole pockets that they could put on the poles that come with the exhibit space, and they fit it all together in a very nice presentation. It saved them the cost of buying a whole new 20 foot booth.

On top of that, since they were in an island booth, it gave them better sight lines from either side. I think it’s a pretty creative way of doing a trade show booth!

Museum Displays

Museum Display

Our customer was asking if we could mount lambda prints to the back of plexiglass for museum displays. My question back is why on earth would you want to do that. He said “because we’ve always done it that way.”

Well, let me give you three reasons why there’s a better way:

1. If you put a direct printed sintra piece behind the plexi, it’s a very simple process and much less expensive. The look is the same- both are fantastic! The plexi adds a depth to the display that is elegant and attractive.

2. If there’s damage to the plexiglass, it gets scratched for instance, you only need to replace the plexiglass, not the entire graphic. That’s faster and much less expensive.

3. If you are replacing the plexiglass, you can still leave the sintra in place until the new sheet arrives. Your museum displays don’t have a big blank space.

Restaurant Wallpaper

Ice Cream Store Wallpaper

Retail is all about branding, and here’s an excellent example of using custom wallpaper in an ice cream shop to give the exact look and feel desired.

Brusters used our suede wallpaper to create their signature red and white look in a new store that will open tomorrow.

Not only does it look good, but it’s durable and scrubbable. When kids get ice cream on the walls, as they inevitably will, they will be able to just wipe it off. We do a lot of restaurant work, and this is a great product for this kind of application.

Temporary Signs

Temporary Sign

A lot of money can be saved by using less expensive sign making material when the sign doesn’t need to last for 20 years.

In this case, the Common Man restaurants are building a new rest area along I93 in Hookset NH, and they needed a sign that will be up for about a year. As you can see, it’s outside but out of the weather.

We printed these on Ultraboard, which is plastic on either side of styrofoam. It’s a pretty good choice for this kind of work, it’s stable and waterproof and I don’t worry at all about it lasting for a year. It’s also light, which makes it easy to install.

If you want a great looking temporary sign, this is a great way to do it for less.

You Are Here Trail Signs

Digital Trail Signs

When you come to a junction of trails while hiking, snow shoeing, or cross country skiing, it’s often tough to know where you are. Trail signs like this one can be a huge help.

The great thing about digitally printing these signs is that you can take a trail or topo map and then put a “You Are Here” designation for the different junctions. I can speak from experience that these are very helpful to people on the trail! Most organizations have a map of their trails, and we can turn them into s sign very easily.

We print on white painted aluminum sign blanks with our UV printer. They come in 12×18, 18×24, and 24×36″ sizes, all with pre-drilled holes top and bottom. The signs are durable and the inks will not fade in the sun.

Once concern that I’ve heard is the worry that people will steal the signs. It doesn’t happen, in our experience. To be on the safe side, I would recommend that you use vandal proof screws when attaching to the sign post, you know, the screws with two little holes instead of a phillips head. Even the old square drive screws will do. Nobody brings a screwdriver when hiking, do they?

Vinyl Banners for Indoors

vinyl banners for indoor use

Indoor Banners

Normally we print vinyl banners for outdoor use. There are a lot of great things you can use a banner for when you are inside, however, and you shouldn’t limit yourself to using banners outdoors!

In this case, our customer used banners indoors to label the aisles in a library. They used our aluminum hanger bars to dress them up and as a way to hang them.

We always recommend using the matte finish vinyl for indoors. Glossy vinyl will give you reflection trouble in indoor lighting.
