Custom Wallpaper

Custom wallpaper adds excitement to any room, but this one is really neat. Everyone is reminded to think, in 10 languages! It’s one of the more interesting custom wallpaper jobs we have done.

Imagine how boring this room would be with a plain white wall. The custom wallpaper mural is fun, and makes for a better workplace.

Whether it’s for a lobby, a work area, or a store custom wallpaper allows you to do fun things that make a space special!

Retractable Banner Stands

Premium Banner Stands

We offer two banner stands. The one pictured at the right is our premium banner stand, which is a workhorse. It is designed to make it easy to change out the graphics, and it’s simply a very sturdy and durable device. It also has a heavier spring, which lets us use a thicker, light blocking banner material.

Our economy retractable banner stand, at about half the cost of the premium banner stand, will still serve you well. It’s a little smaller, uses a thinner banner material, and needs to come back to us to change the banner out.

We love banner stands because they allow you to put a banner up without worrying about how to hang it. They are self contained, and that make them easy to use.

CNC Routed Signs

letters cut from sintra

CNC Cut Sintra

The industry tends to call these die cut letters, but they are really cut from sintra sheets with a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router. We print on the sintra with our flatbed UV curable printer, and then cut the sintra out with the CNC router.

All sorts of possibilities exist for this kind of work! A music venue might put up the show schedule in the shape of a guitar. A ski area might have the tickets prices on the shape of a skier. Whatever you do, they are so much more dramatic than a simple rectangular sign. One of our customers found that CNC custom cut signs in a medical facility were four times as likely to be remembered.

Custom cut signs are just another great way that new computer technology allows us to make memorable signage that is truly more exciting than what could be produced in the past. If you have an application for custom cut signs, give us a call to discuss your job. It’s not that expensive, and the results are dramatic.

Lobby Wallpaper

Bank of NH Wallpaper

This lobby wallpaper was made from a panoramic photo taken by Lakes Region Aerials and installed at the newly renovated offices of the Bank of New Hampshire. It’s 10 feet high and 30 feet wide, and covers a full wall in the lobby.

Our customer wanted something more exciting than plain old wallpaper, and with this wallpaper mural, they got it! As we were posing for the picture, people were commenting about how nice it was, and finding places they knew in the photo.

Custom wallpaper murals are terrific for corporate lobby wallpaper. Give us a call and we’ll tell you how to do it!

Fabric Banners

banners made from fabric

Fabric Banners

Fabric banners have a look and feel you just can’t get from vinyl, and we are seeing a lot of demand for them. We print our fabric banners on a heavyweight tri-poplin material that has a nice “hand” as they say in the fabric business. They hang nice and straight, and the images look soft and friendly.

Normally, we make fabric banners with a pole pocket top and bottom. We can furnish the poles too, so they will be ready to install. We put a large pole in the top, usually with eye hooks in the ends, and a smaller pole in the bottom to give it enough weight to hang straight.

The next time you want to do hanging banners, think about doing them in fabric!

Frames for Vinyl Banners

Vinyl Banners in Frames

Banner in a Frame

I am often telling customers that “making your banner is the easy part-what’s tough is deciding how to put it up.” What we are showing here is how our good customer Waterville Valley solved the problem on a ski slope.

The vinyl banner is held in an aluminum frame with a large metal foot that keeps it stable. This kind of fixture also is relatively easy to move from place to place.

We print a lot of ski area banners, usually on our across the street vinyl, since it’s good to -30 degrees. Regular vinyl becomes brittle at about -5 degrees, so for ski area use it’s not very good. Located as we are in ski country, we solved the vinyl low temperature problem many years ago.

Removable Wallpaper

Repositionable Fabric as Temporary Wallpaper

In many cases, you will want removable wallpaper that you can put up yourself and then take down easily when you want to replace it. Sometimes it’s for an event or special occasion, sometimes you just know the boss is going to change his mind once it’s up. Either way, our repositionable fabric or wallboard vinyl will do the trick.

Wallboard vinyl is essentially bumper sticker material with “sticky note” adhesive on it. You peel off the back and slap it up. When the time comes, you peel it off the wall. It can be reapplied as long as you keep the adhesive clean.

Repositionable Fabric is a thin polyester fabric with the same adhesive. It has more drape to it, and is more forgiving around odd wall geometry. It has the texture of a light fabric, and even under bright lights will not give you glare trouble.

Both materials are easy to apply yourself, especially since you can pull them up and put them back down if you don’t get them straight the first time. They don’t require special tools to install, just a utility knife and a straight edge. A stepladder is usually helpful too. Still, if you are at all handy, you can put this stuff up in a short time with the help of a co-worker.

Custom Cutting with our new Computerized Router

computer controlled routing

Our New CNC Router

We have just installed a computerized router that allows us to cut custom shapes on flatbed printed products. We can custom cut shapes in Ultraboard, Sintra, and gatorboard.

Non-rectangular shapes are becoming more common in retail, and this gives us the capability to do first class machine cut shapes.

We can custom cut shapes in material up to 1″ thick.

Here’s an example of the kind of work our new machine can do. We started with a digital print of a car on 1/8″ sintra, and then had the custom shape cut on the router table around the outline of the car.

The results are really nice- smooth edges, brilliant colors, and a very nice presentation all around.

If your next project involves custom cut shapes, give us a call!

Retractable Banners as a Booth Backdrop

economy retractable banner stands

Three Banner Stands as a Booth Backdrop

There’s no easier way to do the graphics for a trade show booth than to put three banner stands side by side. You get all the brilliant colors of a pop up trade show booth, but at a fraction of the cost. You can put three of our economy banner stands in your booth for under $700.

Not to mention that you can carry them into the show hall under your arm, and put the banner stands up in a jiffy.

The other big savings is shipping. Our economy banner stand weighs about 12 lbs, which mean you can ship three of them coast to coast for about $40 of ground shipping cost. Compare that to what it costs to ship a trade show booth around!

Fabric Banners

Fabric Banners at PSU

Fabric Banners give that rich look that you just can’t get from vinyl, and we are starting to print a lot of fabric banners with our UV curable printers. These were done for  the recital hall at Plymouth State University for their Eagle Pond Authors Series.

We print on a triple weight material called tri-poplin. It has a nice heavy weight and hangs beautifully, and we get very nice color on it. Our UV cured inks are light stable and durable
