Banner Stands as a Trade Show Backwall
We are selling a lot of banner stands this year, and for good reason. They are easy to carry into the show venue, look great, and don’t require drayage from the back of the show to the front. We’re finding that large format printing of banner stands is one of the most useful things we do.
In the photo, our customer created a backwall for a trade show that was a big line of banner stands 20 feet long. He did this for a fraction of the cost of a 20 ft booth, and setup was a breeze. Best of all, he had files to us one day and everything in Fedex the next. Try doing that with a conventional booth!

Retail Photos using our Flatbed Printer
Here’s a grat way to create a theme in a retail store for small money. Our customer wanted to display pictures in his sleep store, and we printed them on 1/8″ sintra in 4×6′ size. They create a great looking space, and went up in a jiffy too.
As usual, they were in a hurry for the store opening, and they had a limited budget. We had the files output in two days, and on a truck to the store in New York City.
It sure makes an attractive setting, don’t you think?

Hockey Dasher Boards
We’ve been busily printing the dasher board signs for the new Plymouth State hockey rink. At right is a photo taken at the dedication ceremony of the new facility, and a beautiful rink it is!
The dasher boards are printed on a polyproplyene film using our UV flatbed printer. Even though the artwork sits behind a lexan shield, it still has the possiblilty of getting wet, so we use the inks that will be OK even if they do get wet.
The other great advantage of using the UV machine is that the inks are dry the moment they come off the printer, and can be installed right away. As with a lot of things that happen in a new facility, everything came together late in the game and had to be done quickly. We were able to print the dasher boards for installation the same day.
Printing on carpet
I passed by the local furniture store today, and they had a stack of carpet samples outside for $1 each. So, I went through the pile to find the one with a color closest to white, and brought it back to the shop. I’d been told you can print on carpet with our new flatbed printer, and I wanted to give it a try.
I gave the carpet to Alex, who runs our UV curable flatbed machine. Fifteen minutes later, he dropped the piece you see in the photo on my desk. Not bad! We’ll put it inside the front door and see how it wears.
As long as the carpet is a tight weave, I think we can print on it. The closer to white the better. This is not something for shag carpets, I think.
BIG Puzzle Printing
Here’s an interesting job we printed for a church in our community. They wanted to create a puzzle of their church, and give a piece to each family that pledged in their giving campaign. Everyone would then put the puzzle together at an event, and they would have a complete picture of the church.
We printed the picture of the church on paper and applied to a 40×60 piece of 50 point board. We then printed directly onto the back of the 50 point board with our new flatbed printer. This gave them a pattern to cut out without disturbing the artwork of the church.
We left it up to the people from the church to do the cutting, and they may have raised a few blisters over the weekend. A good pair of kitchen shears cuts the board pretty well, but there is a lot of cutting to do!

Vehicle Graphics
Here’s a fun job we did for Jeff at A-Bit computer systems, the people who make our computers and help us when we get stuck. The design, by Ethan of our company, makes it look like there’s a hole ripped in the side of the car to expose the name of the company. Nice design work, if we do say so ourselves!
The graphic is printed on 3M vehicle adhesive vinyl with a thin overlaminate. We used our HP-9000 printer to output the graphic. It was installed using spray and a squeegee. The only tricky part was the door seam, which required cutting in the center of the slot and running the vinyl around each side. Jeff says the proof will be when he take it through the car wash!
We put it on both sides of the car, and it’s a great advertisement for Jeff’s business as he drives around town!
Magnetic Car Signs
Why not turn your car into a sign that advertises your business around town? We make magnetic signs that go on your car door, and you’ll get an awful lot of exposure for the $52 that a pair of them cost.
Our magnet signs are printed with four color process, so you can have all the colors of the rainbow on them, including photos. We produce them on a sturdy .030 magnet sheet that won’t come off in the car wash.
Tabloid Size Banner Stands
Here’s a great product for certain applications- a banner stand with a tabloid size banner. We did these for the admissions department at Plymouth State University, which will display them when they visit high schools. These particular banners list the degree programs that PSU offers.
These convenient banner stands roll up into something the size of a quart of milk for easy carrying, and pop up in seconds to generate a nice looking display. We can change the graphic out, too, if your information changes.
Of course, we do plenty of large banner stands too, offering both an economy banner stand and a durable premium stand. We see them being used at trade shows, for conferences and events, and in airports.

Printing on Acoustic Panels
We just finished printing a specacular photo on a 4×8 acoustic panel. This is an inch thick panel designed to deaden sound, and it will be hung on the wall in a room where they want to both decorate and control the noise level. The panels are a highly textured material over the top of a foam panel. We printed on it with our flatbed UV curable printer.
We’re hoping this can be a great new product for us! Mmmm- maybe it would work well in the kid’s TV room! Seriously, these panels are great for restaurants, call centers, and offices – anywhere you want to lower the ambient noise level.

Political Season is Upon Us
The run up to mid term elections is alive in New Hampshire! Here we are doing double sided 4×8′ signs on 1/2″ coroplast for the Reynolds campaign.
These are produced on our new flatbed printer, which uses UV curable inks and is capable of printing on almost any flat sheet. We do a lot of sign work with it, as well as retail POP and hockey dasher boards.
When a campaign wants signs larger than the typical 18×24 lawn sign, this is the answer!
