Ski Area Posters

Poster for Ski Area

We have the good fortune to live in the middle of ski country in NH. We’ve had a flurry of activity as the areas get ready to open for the winter, and yesterday’s foot of snow didn’t hurt!

The areas are finding that they can announce promotions by hanging posters in the lodge and get a very good response. Here’s a poster that tells the skier that she can get the price of today’s ticket off of a season pass. Who better to take advantage of a deal like that, and what better way to announce the deal than to the skier who has the ticket on her jacket.

We also do a lot of vinyl banners for ski areas, and one of our specialty products is a low temperature vinyl that won’t crack in below zero temperatures.

Poster Printing for the Back Room

Poster Printed for a Retail Back Room

Poster Printed for a Retail Back Room

If you’re in retail, your store is probably full of  large format printing. We all think about creating great posters for retail stores, but here’s a twist- put them in the back room for your employees. Shown is a back room poster printed for Whole Foods, one of our best customers. It talks about  going the extra mile for a customer. That’s an important part of their culture, and they are using posters that hang behind the scenes to re-enforce it.

Over the years, we’ve seen a fair number of our retailer customers print posters for their back rooms. It’s a great way to get the message out. While a memo gets read once, people will see the message on the back room poster for months.

Generally, we find that a paper poster works well for this kind of thing since they are only expected to last for a month or two. You can laminate them if you expect them to be up for a long time, and they will look better longer.

Large format poster printing allows people to do something that didn’t exist 15 years ago- produce very short runs of large size color posters. Before the advent of large inkjet printers, it didn’t make sense to make plates and set up a printing press to make one or a few prints. It probably costs $1500-2000 to make the first copy of a poster on a large press, depending on the size, but after that they are roughly $1 each.

With our large format printers, there’s no setup cost. The cost per poster is higher, though. Usually it makes sense to print posters using large format printing for runs under 100 to 200 pieces, again depending on size.

We see a lot of places where large format poster printing makes economic sense. Trade show graphics, event signage, meeting signs, and scientific poster presentations generally use a single print. Smaller retailers and banks will use a few or a few dozen. These are all excellent applications for what we do. Look around the next time you are shopping, and you’ll see beautiful, full color large format graphics everywhere. It’s a technology that is affordable, attractive, and best of all, helps you sell product!
